Artist Statement & Bio
Marcie Couet is a visual artist exploring pattern, presence, and meaning. Her paintings emphasize contrast and ordered complexity through layered mark-making and restraint.
Her paintings are found in homes, businesses, and nonprofits, including the Richard Fairbanks Foundation, Indianapolis. Couet’s work has been featured at The Ford Gallery Indiana State Museum, The Space Lounge at the Stutz, The Attic Hardware, New Quantum Gallery, Carmel Art on Main, High Frequency Arts Gallery, and Mindset on Maple by Business Furniture + Choreo.
Her painting "Dublin" was selected People's Choice a the SALI National Abstract Exhibition and her mixed media painting "Becoming" was selected for the 2025 Hoosier Salon Exhibition, Indiana's premier art exhibition. She is an Indiana Art Commission grant recipient.
